Abstract


This article from the perspective of cognitive linguistics for qualitative analysis, the court Discourse (Courtroom Discourse) perspective of Relevance Theory (Relevance Theory) analysis and explain cognitive processes in the activities of the Tribunal. Forensic Linguistics as an interdisciplinary gradually attracted the attention of researchers from interdisciplinary. The court discourse has become the concern of researchers. Conley (1998), O'Barr (1998), Matoesian (1994) and Maley (1994) the court discourse as a research focus. More from the point of view of pragmatics and social observed research court Discourse. However, very few people from the perspective of cognitive research. Therefore, this article attempts to use the associated theory the court discourse from the perspective of cognitive research. Relevance Theory of Sperber and Wilson \communication session implications. Here, the author of the works of art in the court session as a master's thesis research topic and clarify the of Relevance Theory concept in the courtroom discourse understanding the role, confirmed the applicability of the the associated theoretical concept of communication in the court session analysis and practical sex. The concept of \Sperber and Wilson, in his book, Relevance Theory view, emphasizing the combination of code mode and the mode of reasoning, pointed out that communication is an express - the reasoning process involves the information intent and communicative intent. From the point of view of the speaker, communication is an express that intention clearly show, from the point of view of the hearer, communication is a reasoning process that is expressly based on the speaker's behavior, and contextual assumptions obtained contextual effects, informed of the speaker's communicative intent. The related theory is that communication is a cognitive activity communicative people success depends primarily on whether the cognitive environment in the communicative process to achieve mutually manifest. Cognitive environment is composed of a collection of people know the facts or assumptions people's cognitive activity is associated oriented. Relevance Theory, Context is often referred to as \Court courtroom discourse associated with the use of the theory provides a good platform. Wit lawyer's questions, the answer of the witness, and the reaction of the bystanders and cognitive mechanisms are inseparable. Accordingly, this article associated theory of of court discourse cognitive analysis. Association theory of its operation mechanism to help us recognize the court questioning strategies, and provides a theoretical basis for the awareness of the people on the activities of the Tribunal. Relevance Theory and the combination of court discourse provides a new perspective for research in their respective fields. So, we hope this article made to try to benefit of Forensic Linguistics.
