Abstract

Today's world, transnational , cross-cultural communication increasingly close , along with highlighting the role of translation . Translation, is to promote communication and exchange, which is almost the translation industry , and the public consensus. Thus , we must ask : Is there a better communication describes the relationship between translation and communicative translation theory it British translation theorist Peter Newmark 's semantic translation and communicative translation theory thus brought to our attention ? .. Communicative translation and semantic translation methodology proposed by Mr. Newmark 's greatest contribution to the theory of translation . In a further study to understand the methodology of Newmarket , we found that the current domestic study and research in this area mostly stay in the conceptual understanding of these two methods , and both methods easily lead to misunderstanding. We believe it is necessary to Newmark 's communicative translation and semantic translation method to do in-depth exposition and analysis in order to whichever is longer, their homes short , a better translation practices. This thesis is thus divided into two parts : theoretical study and practical part . In the theoretical study , from the historical background of the methodology proposed by Newmark , analyzes discussed the definition of the concept of two methods of distinguishing characteristics in common , the theoretical basis and on the basis of a brief review of their links with other translation methods . Then , learning the best part of this methodology Newmark : He put his two translation methods correspond text classification that semantic translation method applied to the expression of type text , communicative translation method applied to information -and call -type text. In the practical part , we introduce Roland Jacobsen outlined three types of people living in translation : semiotic translation, the interlingual translation and language translation . We study semantic translation and communicative translation practice law in interlingual translation on this basis . Through practice, we found that : one , the text is not in accordance with the classification of classified correspondence Newmark , who is also the most text above three functions , and sometimes each function are equally important. Second, communicative translation and semantic translation method boundaries are not clear, not a culture of color to convey \Thus, we believe that the two are complementary and mutually reinforcing .
