Abstract


Although Shakespeare died almost 400 years, both in the scholar's study, stage actor, Shakespeare still dominate, renowned in the whole world. Shakespeare in the balmy breath of China's cultural soil, naturally contributed to the active practice of translation and research. However, Shakespeare allusions translation (especially in stage-oriented translation) study seem few and far between. To compensate for this shortcoming, this paper aims to stage performances with the associated theory of Shakespeare allusions translation from the two levels of the theories and techniques to analyze and propose appropriate translation principles and strategies. Founded by Sperber and Wilson's Relevance Theory pragmatic emerging theory of science, the study of human communicative behavior from a cognitive perspective. Relevance Theory verbal communication as express the speaker, hearer express reasoning - the reasoning process, and an ostensive communicative acts should be envisaged for itself with the best correlation \compliance with the principle of relevance. The translator can be taken two major categories of translation strategies: retain the original Code, compensation cognitive context; abandon the original Code, to reveal the contextual meaning. The former can be subdivided into two categories: direct compensation, expansion, as well as indirect compensation, which describes the law. The latter can be subdivided into direct reveal that translation, as well as indirectly reveal that replace the culture. The main part of this article is constituted by the second chapter, Chapters III and IV. Second chapter first describes the related theory and the associated concept of translation; chapter briefly introduces allusions definitions and functions, in accordance with the source of Shakespeare allusions classified; Chapter IV is the core, with examples Shakespeare allusions elaborate stage performances translation principles and strategies.
