Abstract


Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk , winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize for Literature , cultural hybridity is the main features of Pamuk's works , he painted a mixed culture of situation in Turkey living things in the cultural conflict , and to explore Turkey people facing cultural identity choice. With the accelerated process of economic and cultural globalization , the Islamic religion and culture as the representative of the Turkish culture is gradually lose their purity , and gradually evolved into a mixture of Eastern and Western cultures . Islamic religious and cultural loss making the original Turks deep-rooted Islamic religious and cultural identity also will be shaken, and the resulting plight of the Turks and cultural identity . The Western novel use of creative skills is another manifestation of cultural hybridity of Pamuk 's works , he draws the polyphony , stream of consciousness , and detective fiction elements tactics to show the conflict and integration of the Turkish culture and Western culture , Western novel techniques not only greatly improve the capacity of the works of cultural , the same is also beneficial to shape all the point of view of the character of the works . Pamuk to explore creative practice dealing with conflict and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures , it is this: For the local culture , to insist on keeping the local culture , bold throw in addition to purely cultural point of view , must have the courage to accept the foreign culture , and ultimately through the Cultural Reconstruction formation of a fusion between the new culture ; Second , for the individual , it is necessary to insist on doing their own , want to retain their own national identity , firmly opposed to simply pandering to foreign culture , to give up local cultural identity .
