Abstract

In this paper, the "V起" structure was studied from synchronic and diachronic perspectives.In the point of Synchronic, we mainly discussed syntax and semantics about "V起" structure.The conclusion of Syntactic aspects is that in terms of syllable, "V" is mainly monosyllabic verb; The grammatical function of "V起" is used as predicate and attributive, but is mainly used as a predicate; "V起" can appear with "着"、"了"、"过".but "着"、"了"、"过"can only appear in the the back of " V起"structure, it is mainly caused by" V "and"起"more closely integrated.Semantic aspects is concluded, "V起" structure "起"has three grammatical meanings: towards righteousness, justice results, before renewal of meaning. Also "起" can be saw as topic marked. Then we discussed the "起" nature of "V起", we divided the nature of“起”into directional verb and the auxiliary bodies. In order to better grasp the "V起" structure, we have the verb "V" for the semantic feature analysis, come to: "起" is table towards meaning, V is the semantic features [+ upward shift]; "起" means the results table , V is the semantic features [+ gather / + hidden / + raised]; "起" is table beginning added meaning, V is the semantic features [+ dynamic continued]. The "V" and "起" of"V起" subject tag have lost their original meaning, only from the "V起" structure to determine the "V起the" significance.On the basis of modern Chinese "V起" structure of the syntax and semantics, We analyzed the process of grammaticalization from diachronic approach, and discussed grammaticalization mechanism from the point of cognize of“起”.The verdict is that:in the structure of“V起”, the basic meaning of“起”evoluted trend meaning by reanalyzing ,and then, trend meaning of“起”evoluted justice results and before renewal of meaning by extend in meaning, the before renewal of meaning of“起”formed“V起”topic marked by subjectification. This article hopes that from the research of "V起" structure, so we can better understand and use the "V起" structure, and provide some guidance and help for foreign language teaching.
