Abstract


As an important part of Chia-ying Yeh’s literary criticism theory, Xingfagandong thoery is the foundation and core of her studies, criticism and peotry creation. This thesis presents a comprehensive and detailed exploration of Xingfagandong thoery from three aspects.Introduction mainly represented current situations of Chia-ying Yeh’s studies and the basis of this study.Chapter One annalyzes the theorical origin of Xingfagandong thoery, including the inheritance of Xing study, the absorption of receptional aesthetics and the summary of Chia-ying Yeh’s critical practices.Chapter Two concentrates on the theoretical connotation of Xingfagandong thoery. The most important element in Chinese poetry is the power of Xingfagandong. The changes of nature and personnel affairs generate and insprire Xingfagandong affections which become the motivation of peotry creation and motivate poets to express their affections. Fu, Bi and Xing are basic ways of conveying Xingfagandong power. For readers, reading classical peotry is not just to learn academic knowledge, above all, it can inspire readers to widen their associations and imaginations and taste Xingfagandong power peotry conveyes. Xingfagandong can be divided into three aesthetic levels, that is perception of esthetic sense, sensation of affections and interest of inspiration. Ability of feeling and ablitiy of writing are the basic factors to measure the quality of Xingfagandong power.Chapter Three analyzes the cricital practice of Xingfagandong theory. Chia-ying Yeh creatively sets the role of Xingfagandong as the standard of criticism, and she points out that to comment peotry is to explore the essence of Ganfa power. When coomenting and appreciating poetry, Chia-ying Yeh is outstanding and creative, she adhears to the principle of combining sensibility with intellectality and the honest and serious behaviour, thus fully exploring and revealing the the power of Xingfagandong in peotry.
