MIDI agreement was established in 1983. During the development of the past 26 years, it gradually permeates into our music culture life, which has a positive effect on modern music activity and influences the music culture life deeply. Through the practical study and by starting from the development situation of MIDI music and the problems we found in the practical application, this article not only describes the development tendency of MIDI music technology in the two decades and the meaning of MIDI music orchestral production technology to today’s music activity, but also puts forwards some views and points of the hot spots and outspread problems in today’s MIDI music production.The hot spots and outspread problems in MIDI music production we mention above are mainly pointed to:the "hominize" problem in orchestral production perform techniques problem、memory usage problem and why the MIDI music can’t instead of the real performance and so on.These problems are related, for example, during the computer music production, there is a contradiction between the "hominize" problem and the memory usage problem. The reason is that, if we want to produce "hominize" music, we also need the "hominize" timbres, which take a lot in the physical memory. But the memory usage, the 32-bit windows operating system distributes to each procedure, is very limited. So the contraction appears. The description about these problems are all based on the longtime study of the computer music by myself, and it can also regards as a experience summary of the longtime MIDI music producing by myself.
