Abstract


With the introduction of market mechanism, the comparative advantage industries in China have come into being and developed, together with a increase of GDP and internationalization of economy. The main factors restricting the further development ,such as the conflicts between the forging-ahead strategy and the real division of labor, the structral contradiction of industries, upgrading of comparative advantages are all the leading goals in the economic research and policy-making procedure. Charpter one of this thesis analyses the contribution of trade benefits and the material forms of strctural adjustment by theoretical and empirical analysis. This part tiy to explore the underlying forces to cause development and to reveal the theoretical foundation by which the developing countries form the traditional strategy. Cbarpter two discusses the realistic policy choices of developing countries by comparing the real growth and relevant statistical data of two different development-strategy-oriented country--Chile and Korea. The economic growth through export-led expasion should be examined more accurately under a large-country model. Charpter three emphasises on the overview of China’s change of development strategy. Another analysis is devoted to examining the rising of processing trade and newly intra-industry trade. The essay has the following creative viewpoints: The process of economic development in LDCs reveals obvious ladder of comparative advantage approach; The partly abandon of the heavy-industry-oriented development strategy helps to build up the competitiveness in the trade -related industry in China directly ; The analysis of relation between foreign trade and economic growth shouldn’t be confined merely to the net export’s coherent contribution, but also the opportunity cost and dynamic effects; The upgrading of economy structure should keep consistent with the segmentaton of inter-industrial division of labour and intra-industry trades principle.
