Abstract

[Objective] The immunohistochemical method to detect the expression of the Nodal protein Survivin protein in gastric cancer tissues, and to analyze the clinical significance of both gastric cancer and the development of the role and relationship. [Materials and Methods] extracted from January 2004 to December 50 cases of pathological specimens underwent surgery and gastric cancer patients with complete follow-up information, selected from the 20 cases of cancer adjacent normal tissues using immunohistochemical detection of Nodal and Survivin expression collected clinical and pathological data and follow-up information. SPSS13.0 statistical software, with the χ2 test, Spearman rank correlation analysis, correlation analysis and prognosis of the above information. [Results] in normal tissues, are low-Mouse Nodal: Survivin expression, the expression rate of 5% and 0%. In 50 cases of gastric carcinoma specimens, Nodal positive expression rate was 92.0% (46/50), the gene expression and tumor differentiation, TNM stage and postoperative organ metastasis-related; expression of the gene and postoperative metastasis the relevant univariate and multivariate analysis results suggest that Nodal expression is an important prognostic evaluation of patients with gastric cancer. Survivin expression in 50 cases of gastric carcinoma was 70.00% (35/50). Depending on the degree of differentiation of gastric cancer were divided into high, medium and low differentiation group Survivin positive rate of the order of 37.50% (3/8), 72.41% (21/29), 84.62% (11/13), statistical analysis between the three the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 4.875, P lt; 0.05). Tip With the reduction of the degree of differentiation of gastric cancer, the the Survivin positive expression rate was gradually increased. The Survivin positive lymph node metastasis rate was 71.05% (27/38), lymph node metastasis group Survivin positive rate was 66.67% (8/12), the difference was not statistically significant (χ2 = 0.223, P gt; 0.05). [Conclusion] 1 Nodal expression increased in patients with gastric cancer, as a new indicator of prognosis, a high level of expression of the gene increased possibility of prompt postoperative metastatic. 2 Survivin is highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues, the expression levels of survivin in gastric carcinoma with lymph node metastasis, and differentiation, TNM stage. 3 in gastric cancer tissues of Nodal and Survivin expression levels were positively correlated.
