Abstract


Objective: To investigate the relationship between Survivin in osteosarcoma, osteochondroma and normal bone tissue expression and clinical pathological features and osteosarcoma Survivin and P-glycoprotein , Bcl-2 protein , VEGF expression and clinical significance . Methods: our hospital orthopedics from 1998 to 2003 were treated 38 patients with osteosarcoma ( all patients were not receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy , and were pathologically diagnosed as osteosarcoma ) , 10 patients with benign osteochondroma and 5 cases of normal bone tissue , and then using immunohistochemical SP method apoptosis suppressor gene Survivin expression in osteosarcoma, osteochondroma and normal bone tissue and P-glycoprotein , Bcl - 2 protein , VEGF expression in osteosarcoma . Results : Survivin expression in osteosarcoma was 63.15% , no expression in the osteochondroma normal bone tissue ; the Survivin positive expression of the patient's age, sex and tumor site has nothing to do with Enneking surgical staging and WHO organization credits type ; P - glycoprotein , Bcl-2 protein and VEGF expression in osteosarcoma rates were 47.37% , 55.26% and 47.37% . Survivin expression and P-glycoprotein , Bcl-2 protein , VEGF expression is closely related to osteosarcoma . Conclusions : 1 ) Survivin in osteosarcoma showed high expression involved in the development of osteosarcoma can be used as an important index to determine the prognosis of osteosarcoma . 2) patients with osteosarcoma in the early Survivin and P-glycoprotein monitoring of guiding significance to determine the efficacy of chemotherapy and clinical resistance . 3 ) Survivin and Bcl-2 protein expression is closely related to both synergistic anti-apoptotic effect . 4 ) Survivin , VEGF expression in tumor angiogenesis may play an important role in the expression of the combined detection of both understanding of the mechanisms of tumor angiogenesis .
