Abstract


Zionism is an important part of the Western political thought of the modern history of theworld. The development of Zionism experienced a long period of history changes in Jewishhistory. It was first originated from the Native concept of recovery of Israelite in the ancientDiaspora. Anti-Semitic persecution is the direct cause of the birth of Zionism in the Modernhistory of the world. The assimilation dreams of the Jewish had completely broken. Zionismas a Jewish national liberation of the world thought has emerged on the stage. Zionism as apolitical trend and contains a lot of schools of thought. The most influential political Zionismas well as a modified concept of cultural Zionism emerged in the early Zionist movement’sstage. Cultural Zionism and political Zionism as a kind of opposite schools of thought, thefirst in the Jewish world, triggered a strong response.The Political Zionism of Theodore Herzl attempts to advocate for big countries tosupport diplomatic means to achieve the establishment of a Jewish state, ignoring culturalfactors on remodeling the important role of the Jewish state. The first World Zionist Congressended since 1897 ,Ahad Ha-am began to critic Herzl’s political Zionism and provide thedominant culture of the spirit of Zionism new route, which opened a new cultural era of Zionmovement. "The Wrong way" was published laid the theoretical foundation for Ahad Ha-am’searly cultural Zionism.“Sons of Moses " was a failed experiment, but it is, after all, the theoryof cultural Zion’s first attempt to put into practice also means that cultural Zionism as a newtheory schools of thought towards the big stage of the world Zionism movement.The core of the Cultural Zionism theory is to establish the spiritual center for Jews ofPalestine and highlight the leading role of the Jewish spirit to Judaism, as opposed to Political Zionist attempt to rely on political and diplomatic means to establish a Jewish state, whileignoring to shape the ideas of the Jewish people. Ahad Ha-am’s critique of political Zionismnot only in its claim on reality, but also contains the theoretical basis of Political Zionism.Cultural Zionism is an important part of the world’s theoretical system and it has longbeen engaged in the theoretical writings of Zionist activity and thought summed up theessence of belonging to the scope of Jewish cultural nationalism by Ahad Ha-am. AlthoughCultural Zionism have experienced a complex political and social background, but itsthoughts are constantly with the development of history to the development andimprovement .Most of all, Cultural Zionism had a significant impact on the Jewish world ofthe future. The excellent ingredient of cultural Zionism of Ahad Ha-am was absorbed by hisstudent named Chaim Weizmann who has great historical contributions to the development ofthe world Zionist movement.The aftermath of Cultural Zionism of Ahad Ha-am is very enormous. Not only to theZionism movement of the world in 19th century, Hebrew culture and Judaism, but also it has avery great practical significance between the modern Israeli Hebrew language education andculture. David Ben-Gurion once called it a redemptive power of humanity. Cultural Zionismmainly related to the Jewish national renaissance thought, establishing the spiritual center ofthe Palestinians, restoring the Hebrew culture and Jewish reform ideas. These ideas for ourtraditional culture also have certain significance. As the paradox between the ideal and thereality, the Cultural Zionism of Ahad Ha-am historical has limitations of historical, it willinevitably lead to its final destiny to be fused.
