Abstract


The wireless communication network, with its outstanding advantages, has become a hot area of today’s communications technology development, and is widely used in all aspects of social production and life. Wireless Mesh Network (Wireless Mesh Network, WMN, also known as wireless mesh networks or wireless mesh network) is a wireless communications technology in recent years to develop a new type of access network, it combines the advantages of wireless LAN and Ad Hoc Networks, has the self-organizing, self-healing, multi-hop the cascade, mobile broadband features, is a large-capacity, high-speed, covering a wide range of networks, especially suitable for broadband wireless access and coverage in the case of the lack of a wired network resources.Embedded wireless Mesh network video surveillance system designed by this paper is a new video surveillance system combined by the video surveillance technology and wireless Mesh network, it has the advantages envied by the wired video surveillance.The main research of this paper are as follows:(1) Study on wireless Mesh network structure and characteristic, this paper puted forward a network structure of the video surveillance system which by the client Mesh network structure.(2) This paper designer and demonstrated the overall design scheme of embedded wireless Mesh network. Ok2440-Ⅲ development board based on the core of S2C2440A is selected as hardware platform. The OV9650CMOS camera is used as the video acquisition equipment.(3) In this paper, the Mesh network various routing protocols is researched and compared, determining an improved routing protocol DSR as the monitoring network routing protocol.(4) The wireless Mesh network client hardware modules and software systems is designed, the paper special explained the Transplantation of embedded Linux operating system; The video capture and compression program based on the compression standard of H.264and the driver of CMOS camera is designed.
