Abstract


Entering the 21st century, with the accelerated process of economic globalization, development of information technology and the advent of knowledge-based economy, international exchanges and cooperation of higher education is increasingly frequent.The relationship of higher education in different countries is strengthening in general.In the wave of internationalization of higher education, the phenomenon of internationalization of postgraduate education is particularly outstanding, and its meaning is even more important. "To promote international exchanges and cooperation of postgraduate education,take measures to accelerate our pace of postgraduate education to the world,and further expand international influence of our postgraduate education"is one of the objectives that the development of Chinese postgraduate education in the first decade of the 21st century. With pushing forward the process of the internationalization of postgraduate education continuously, a well-established evaluation index system of internationalization of postgraduate education is becoming increasingly important.Because of this, this thesis aims at the construction research on internationalization index system of postgraduate education for assessing internationalization,which can help individual institutions of postgraduate education to assess and enhance the quality of their international dimension according to their own stated aims and objectives, and then further promote the process of internationalization of postgraduate education in colleges and universities to enhance international competitiveness of chinese postgraduate education.On the base of using the study fruit of inside and outside of the country for reference,first of all this paper defined the internationalization of postgraduate education as a development trend and process, the important forces and trends that promote the development of the world’s degree and postgraduate education, the continuous development process of a country’s postgraduate education or the process of a university which efforts to enhance the international competitiveness of postgraduate education.It is the integration of an international element in the education awareness, education resources, and the construction of tutors, postgraduate training, scientific research and many other areas to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, seeking to enhance the international competitiveness of postgraduate educationand training people and ideas that can play an active role in the international exchange and international competition. The internationalization of postgraduate education includes five key dimensions of internationalization:articulated commitment; staff elements; operational elements; financial elements and organizational infrastructure. And then it makes a review on the research of the educational internationalization indicatiors.Then, Through the key elements of investigation,expert commentary,AHP and other qualitative and quantitative research methods, and with yaAHP0.5.1, this paper builds up a set of internationalization of postgraduate education evaluation index system with five primary guidelines, twelve secondary targets, fifty-three third-class indicators.According to the indicator system, China Agricultural University, Beijing Forestry University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University of Science and Technology were chosen as evaluating objects.This paper survey the international exchanges and cooperation of postgraduate education at our agriculture and forestry universities,and then summed up the development characteristics.At last this paper points out the approaches to promote the develpoment on internationalization of postgraduate education of our agriculture and forestry universities.
