Abstract

Objective: Renal cell carcinoma (renal cell carcinoma, RCC) is the highest death rate in the urinary system tumors, in recent years its incidence and mortality in the constant rise, and thus to increase the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma , for the final objective to provide effective clinical treatment targets. For blood vessel formation in the kidney tumor development role has been established, and adrenomedullin (adrenomedulin, ADM) is a new vasoactive peptide, through the application of immunohistochemical staining observed in kidney tumors as well as kidney Tumor microvessel density (microvessel density, MVD) relevance to clinical treatment of renal tumors to provide a reliable indicator of molecular biology and clinical treatment of renal tumors provide a theoretical basis. Methods: Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Department of Urology April 2009 2 009 Sept complete surgical cases of renal cell carcinoma, 33 cases of preoperative patients did not undergo any anti-tumor therapy, surgery specimens were isolated under sterile conditions to obtain the specimen includes cancerous tissue from the tumor margin 5cm above normal renal parenchyma. Diameter of about 1cm each two cases, fixed with 10% formaldehyde. Results: Immunohistochemical detection of renal cell carcinoma cells significantly ADM mark, the positive rate was 100%, mainly expressed in the cytoplasm. ADM in normal tissues, the positive expression rate of 9.1%. Renal cell carcinoma and normal renal tissue levels of ADM expression difference. Kidney tumor microvessel density value of 43.39 ± 7.81, normal renal tissue microvessel density value of 9.73 ± 4.22. Upon examination using non-parametric test, Z test statistic is -5.014, bilateral probability P = 0.000 lt; 0.05, reject H0, to accept H1, tumor tissue and normal kidney tissue microvascular density difference between tumor tissue counts were significantly higher than normal tissue microvessel count. Immunohistochemical expression of ADM high microvessel density value of 43.78 ± 7.61, low expression is 10.35 ± 5.53, after variance test F = 420.266, P = 0.000 lt; 0.05, reject H 0 , to accept H1, that ADM expression in renal cell carcinoma correlated with microvessel counts correlated. The higher expression of ADM, microvessel density value is higher. Conclusion: This study of 33 cases of renal cell cancer tissues compared with normal tissues by immunohistochemical detection results ADM in the kidney is highly expressed in tumor tissue, in some small amount of normal tissue expression and high expression of ADM The number of microvessel density were correlated, suggesting that ADM may be used as a biological indicator of renal tumor development may play a role, through further study the characteristics of ADM for the pathogenesis of renal tumors, comprehensive treatment of the theory basis, in order to better develop the clinical treatment of renal tumors.
