Abstract


The Chinese folk sports culture, which enriched Huaxia culture with its unique characters of exercizing and entertainment, is an important part of our traditional nation culture. By consulting much historical literature and taking Jingchu folk sports culture as the object of this research, the paper tried to analyze the cultural connotation of Jingchu district folk sports from region, nation and history, which is different from regional culture in content and, meanwhile exsiting some commons. Firstly, the reseach clarified some characteristics from inner the regularity of Jingchu folk culture. Then several corresponding measures and suggestions on its protection and development were put forward in order to solidate the therory and education, awaken people’s cultural awareness, and realize the goal of protecting and broardcasting our precious culture. It could also provide the theory for our people’s sports. Finally, it was hoped that folk sports would play more and more important role in building up people’s body, harmoius society and cultual constructinon of our Socializm.
