Abstract


Preposition have been valued greatly, because it is one of theapproach to express semanteme and syntactic relation, is the mostcomplex empty word, and have a particular value and status. Ch’un-ch’iufan-lu is important material for discussing scriptures of Han Dynasty,which is written by Tung Chung-shu , its language occupied by the styleof written language and reflect the original appearance and feature of HanDynasty’s language. But existing documents and materials involve littlecontent of language, especially the study of preposition; most of themconcentrate on its political thought. So, on the one hand, exploring andanalyzing systematically and comprehensively its prepositions arebeneficial to grasping the characteristic and condition of utilization ofprepositions during the early years of Han Dynasty, on the other hand,can extend the research field of words’research，thus provide referencesfor Ancient Chinese Language.The paper adopt the approaches of combining the quantitative researchway and qualitative investigation, systematically examine theprepositions in Ch’un-ch’iu fan-lu, which is based on former’s research.the paper include five parts:The first part is introduction, it briefly introduce the author, content,edition, relevant research, the significance of selected topic, and theresearch approach of the Ch’un-ch’iu fan-lu.The second part focus on the classification and confine of preposition,briefly introduce the classification and confining of preposition inCh’un-ch’iu fan-lu. The third part is about the analysis of preposition’s type. Itcomprehensively examines the feature of all kinds of prepositions, andmade a comparative conclusion.The fourth part is conclusion, and summarizes the feature of thepreposition in Ch’un-ch’iu fan-lu, which is based on the previous part.And compare the consistency and differences between the Ch’un-ch’iufan-lu and Spring and Autumn Scripture, to get a better understanding ofthe development disciplinary and characteristic of preposition in AncientChinese Language.
