Abstract


Military dependents villages is the product of a specific time and space, it is a landmark in the gradual disappearance, and was entrusted with the stereotypical impression. And novels about military dependents villages, which take military dependents villages as the main subject, are an important carrier of the culture of it. Novels about military dependents villages are derived, flourished, and would be disappeared in the self-enclosed culture atmosphere. Writers form the Military dependents villages play an important part in the Taiwan literature environment. However, scholars of Taiwan show great concern in the writers, and they make less effort to put the novel in the literature field.The lifting of martial law is an important indicator of social transformation. It causes the relocations of political orders in Taiwan, and the changes of the political map cause the changes of literature field. Besides, ethnic problems had become evident after the lifting of martial law. The ethnic metaphor about Military dependents villages’ novels is an important factor of arousing the concern of readers. And it becomes an important factor in the tumultuous literature field. Hence, the ethnic background determines its’ development trend. After the lifting of martial law, the writing strategies of military dependents villages’ novels cope with the changes in literature field. It constructs the contemporary literature through literature subject building, personal memory and collective memory of the writing, and space strategy, the strategy of subversion under the dual plight.
