Abstract


Objective: atherosclerosis (Atherosclerosis, AS) is a serious hazard to human health and life artery disease , but so far , its pathogenesis is not very clear . In recent years , come to realize that AS is a chronic inflammation of the blood vessel wall endothelial cells in response to injury factors [ 1 ] Therefore , since 1978 Fabricant [ 2 ] with the herpes virus of poultry successfully induced turkey coronary atherosclerosis since a growing number of studies have shown that as one of the human cytomegalovirus ( human cytomegalovirus HCMV) infection and arterial atherosclerotic hardening correlation . HCMV infection very widely in the crowd , can lie dormant in a variety of cells can reactivate to cause serious infections , low immune HCMV artery disease occurs most likely causative factor . Most researchers believe that the reactivation of HCMV repeated latent cause vascular inflammation , thereby affecting the occurrence of arterial disease , development, and stability [ 3 ] . Which one of the main molecular mechanisms of HCMV infection and accelerate the progress of the disease caused by the body's immune damage . Intercellular adhesion molecule -1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1, ICAM-1) is a glycoprotein, a cell surface can be induced in hematopoietic progenitor cells and expression of non-hematopoietic progenitor cells , can be mediated by immune cells and other cell-cell interactions involved in cell adhesion and migration , and to play a central role in inflammation and immune reactions [4] . Studies have found that [ 5 ] and HCMV infection can directly cause vascular endothelial cell ultrastructure , metabolism and function change , but its impact on the dynamic expression of ICAM-1 is still a lack of research .
