Abstract


With China's status in the international community to improve the increasingly frequent international exchanges and intercultural communication , the Chinese-English interpreters more and more attention , involves growing . How to quickly and efficiently interpreting it? According to the British translation theorists Newmark . Pitt 's communicative translation and semantic translation theory , semantic translation focus on the source language and the source language of ideas , faithful to the intention of the author of the source language , stressed reserved source language characteristics of language ; communicative translation is to make the paper suitable for readers of the target language , emphasizing the effect of communication and audience acceptance , and focus on the important information of the source language into the target language , and does not adhere to the position of the source language , explore issues , and the translator supplement or even error correction can also be adjusted according to the needs of their own judgments . Communicative translation translation than the source text more concise , smooth , easier target language audience to accept . The Newmark Pitt communicative translation and semantic translation theory combined two translation methods to achieve the purpose of the translation : accurate and economic . In view of the interpretation with a focus on the characteristics of real-time , on-site , and the complexity of work , and the process of interpretation relayed the information and the intention of the speaker , it is very necessary interpretation from the study of communicative translation and semantic translation angle . In this paper , based on this theory excerpt professional interpreters interpreters and detailed analysis , analysis of how they are based on the interpretation purpose , audience nature and intention of the speaker and the text type to take the appropriate strategy confirms Newmark . Pitt theory applicability in interpretation . This paper aims to research by the above analysis , the reference for practitioners of interpretation . I hope that in the process of interpretation can text type of consciousness , thereby improving the quality of the interpretation .
