Abstract


The global economic crisis erupted in 2008 , container liner companies experienced the the long downturn effective period . Until the end of 2009 , the global economic situation started to improve , rising international trade for the entire container liner shipping market showing signs of recovery , the major container liner companies have increased the freight rate , put idle capacity , through the adoption of a variety of means to make more profit to make up losses. However, because most of the container liner companies during the economic crisis reduce empty container equipment holds a number of cost - saving strategy , coupled with the excessive investment in idle capacity , the manufacturing or lease of new container to take some time to implement , and thus triggered a war in which the whole industry was intractable problems : the shortage of wide range of empty Container . Papers based on the trajectory of the development of modern container liner industry , the current situation and problems of analysis liner companies in the field of empty container management , try to learn from the advanced theories and methods of supply chain inventory management , based on maximizing corporate profits this goal , the establishment of a new method to control na box happening . Firstly, based on the the Empty Container amount of data characteristics , select a time series prediction method as a forecast of the future demand for empty containers means , and the changes in the relationship between the average container freight rates Empty Container service levels based on the principle of profit maximization ; Second through the analysis of several common supply chain inventory replenishment model , combined with the day-to-day operation of the inventory replenishment of empty containers practice, the use of appropriate variant ( t , S ) inventory control model set inventory replenishment model for empty Container management ; Finally, the use of actual data as a case instance calculus has been constructed model , and the results are summarized and analyzed . The thesis advanced supply chain inventory management methods and concepts used in container liner companies empty container management , the period of higher levels of freight shipping companies need to change the usual cost minimization management model , based on the system optimal angle to configure the internal resources.
